Middleweight PHP Developer

Location: Newcastle upon Tyne

Salary: to £25k depending on experience

Reporting to: Head of Development

Description:

Are you a PHP web developer with at least 3 years experience developing websites using LAMP technologies? Do you feel your current situation is lacking new challenges and you’re ready for the next step in your career? Then this is the ideal opportunity for you to step up to the mark and join a progressive digital agency in the centre of Newcastle who is currently recruiting in line with an aggressive growth strategy over the next 12 to 18 months. The organisation has strong roots in the creative sector and having recently invested heavily in order to put their name up there within the digital arena, they have found this has led to some large-scale new Client wins with International accolade.  As a result of this new business you will be required to hit the ground running building from scratch and improving existing Content Management Systems and E-Commerce applications for a variety of Clients, all with different needs and constraints.

Desirable Skills:

An interest and thirst for knowledge within the web 2.0 arena, ideally having already developed applications designed specifically for social networking communities like Facebook and Twitter.

A basic understanding of ASP.NET with a desire to learn more about it as it may be a platform used more widely by the agency in the near future.
