Description:
We are looking for an experienced PHP Developer to join our Clients web and interactive team in Newcastle upon Tyne. As a real self-starter you will be expected to work alongside their creative team, either as part of large teams, where you will play a key part or as technical lead on smaller teams. There are also opportunities to get involved in mobile development and expansion of the role into other areas of their organisation.
In order to apply you will need to have a minimum of 3 years experience in:
- Developing object orientated PHP5 + MySQL in a high-pressure environment.
- Designing patterns and being able to explain them on both a technical and non-technical level.
- Database design and optimisation.
- Taking existing legacy code to develop and deploy client-facing applications without rewriting existing code.
- Leading a technical team by identifying efficient working practices and implementing scalable development methodologies.
- Developing procedures allowing less senior members of the team to work in a coordinated manner.
- Prototyping technical solutions to problems outside the usual website development remit.
- Linux, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, XML, DOM, SVN (or similar), at least one web application framework and all the associated technologies used for delivery.
